For adrenaline junkie Charlotte Kemp, the definition of a good life is being kept busy by a constant stream of activities. The tall brunette spends her days attending flying and parachuting sessions—and when she isn’t up in the sky, she’s under the water swimming, playing tennis or running. Charlotte’s love of running isn’t something she takes very lightly. Our Miss December 1982 is so passionate about the sport that she has enlisted ten of our Playmates from 1978 to 1995 to join her running team, appropriately named The Playboy Running Team. “We run one distance event a month, helping to raise money for charity,” says Miss Kemp. “Running has opened up my life. Besides the physical part of it, there’s spiritual dimension.” Leading a running team has been an absolute joy for Charlotte who never had so many friends who lived nearby before. The Midwestern girl moved around several times as child and as a teenager before settling in Chicago to focus on modeling. “I regret sometimes not having permanent roots, but in each place I've lived, I've made friends I still talk to and write to. I try to write to at least five of them a week,” admits our voluptuous Playmate who was once linked to Chicago Bears’ defensive back, Gary Fencik. Joining the ranks of Playboy in Chicago led Charlotte to not only legions of adoring fans as our Miss December 1982, but she says it led to great friendships and a sense of self. “I’ve learned a lot in the few months I’ve been in Chicago.
